Halo – The Fall of Reach – The Book

When you think of Halo, understandable the first thing that comes into your head are the games, whether it’s the original trilogy, ODST, Reach or even the often forgotten about Halo Wars RTS game. However what you don’t immediately think about is the series of books that have been written to accompany the Halo canon.

I recently stumbled across one of these books whilst nosing around in WH Smiths. It was titled ‘The Fall of Reach’ and according to the back of the book it followed the life of the SPARTAN known as Master Chief, you may have heard of him, up until the beginning of the first game. Now I’m not a massive Halo fan, I brought the first one for the PC before Bungie were swallowed whole by Microsoft. I didn’t play the second one due to not owning an original Xbox, I thought the third was OK, I thought ODST was a bit meh, and I’ve not played Reach yet, but I was immediately drawn to the book so I brought it. I later learned that there are a whole series of books that have been published since this one but I hadn’t about of any of them before. Read the rest of this entry »

I’m not normally a very articulate person. My work doesn’t involve much writing and being honest, most of my assignments throughout my academic days were C grade bog standard at best. However I’m giving this article a crack because I feel there’s a story to tell somewhere.

These are the thoughts and recollections of a man on a journey to build himself a gaming PC. Now if that sounds a bit boring to you I suggest you navigate away from this site now, but if you’ve ever thought about putting together your very own rig then this article may convince you to do the sensible thing and get somebody else to build it for you, or it may even inspire you to build your own. Or if your MarkuzR, it may give you a stiffy….

My First Blog (Well, on WordPress)

This is a bit of a test post really. Haven’t got anything really exciting to say at the minute (nor will I ever probably!) but just thought I’d post something up while I think of something to write/moan about.

For now I’ll introduce myself. My name is Ste, I work in construction, I’m nearly 30 and I live with my beautiful girlfriend Cat in Sheffield. Cat is her name by the way, she isn’t an actual Cat… Bastard.
